ヤットの事で手に入れたCD を意外な所で見つけました。

そのれら音楽ファイルは cultural equity の sound collections というページにありました。

音源のビットレートは 192 kbps だったと思います。

此処には Alan Lomax が残した音源をmp3化してその多くを置いて有る様で、全てを聴いた訳ではありませんが涎の出るようなものが沢山有ります。

これらの音楽ファイルのソースの中から Blues In The Mississippi Night と云うBlues 好きには堪らないアルバムが発売されて居ます。

CD ではRemasterされて音質は此処のものより向上していますし、何よりもタイトルが良いですね。

私にとってジャンルの区別が今一ハッキリとしないミュジシャンにJelly Roll Morton (ジェリー・ロール・モートン) と云う人が居て、彼のアルバムに Complete Library Of Congress Recordings と云う ８枚組のがあります。
このアルバムはかのアランロマックスの音源を元にして居るのですが、大半がJelly Roll Mortonの語りで占められて居ます。
業界の一部で有名なこのJelly Roll Mortonのこのアルバムは資料的な価値があるのでしょうが、私の様な素人の音楽好きには退屈な逸品だと云うことです。
この８枚分の音源を持って居る私が最後まで聴き通した事は一度しか有りません。
Amazonn のカスタマーレビューに説明が載っています。
それを知ってかレコード会社は編集盤を２種類別途発売しています。
一つは同じデザインのジャケット使った（Jelly Roll Morton: Library of Congress Recordings (Highlights)）もの

もう一つ（組）は４枚ばら売りのセットです。
で、８枚セットを買う事が出来ない私は４枚ばら売りセットを買いました。
これらは８枚セットから演奏と歌の部分を取り出したものらしく素人の耳にも長時間耐えられるものでした。
